Large amounts of unlicensed medicines have actually been seized by Department of Health officials during a search of a home in Glengormley.
A man was talked to by department officers about unlawfully importing and consequently providing unlicensed impotence medicines through the internet.
The 47-year-old was also questioned about other medicine offences.
He will now be the topic of a report to the general public Prosecution Service.
The search was by the department’s Medicines Regulatory Group.
Its senior enforcement office, Peter Moore, stated: “It is important that we get the message throughout that unlicensed medicines can be hazardous.
“These types of items being sold, usually online, have gone through no quality assurance and there can be no assurance about their safety.
“You simply do not understand what you are taking or the conditions these products were made in. More significantly, you do not know the result drugs like this might have on your health.”
